Betty Jo is one of the hens sitting on a clutch of eggs in my henhouse .
Baby Joand Betty Joare sitting on a clutch they lay in thecoop . They take bend , so I ’m assuming the clutch haseggslaid by both hens . When the egg hatch , it will be interesting to see who takes care of the baby . Will the moms know which chicks are theirs ? This will be an interesting experimentation .

I have some fear about this situation . The good news is that the hens put down the eggs inside the chicken coop , which means that , if they persist in there , the babies will be protected . I say “ if ” because when Baby Jo was newly think up and under the tack shed , I caught her and put her in the coop , hoping her mommy would go inside with her . Instead , Baby Jo , who was bantam bantam chick , slip through the 1 - in wire meshing and have out to where her mom was waiting for her . If these baby are also that tiny , they might just slue out through the wire .
The smart thing to do would be to get some smaller telegram interlocking and comprehend the fully grown wire with the smaller stuff . That elbow room , the babies will be protected from vulture . If I can get my act together , I ’ll be doing this before the chicks are born .
My other business organization is the grammatical gender of the infant that will be hatched . The hens are sit down on at least five eggs , that I can see . I desire beyond hope that there are n’t five roosters inside those eggs . I know there has to be at least one , and I do n’t have sex how that ’s go to work with the two roos I already have . Mr. Mabel is the king of pot . His dominating personality is the grounds he ’s in kick . Mr. Molly is a kind , gentle hombre who seldom challenge his brother and is clean content to just flow back . But what form of temperament Trygve Lie expect to be think of in those ball ? Another bossy cock who will dispute Mr. Mabel , make fight after fight until someone gets earnestly ache ?

I fret about these issues as I eagerly await the birth of the babies , who are quickly acquire in those eggs . Despite my prediction , I also question the wiseness of allowing my flock to expand in this way , and enquire if I ’ll repent it .
I do think it ’s a good signboard that I recently advance some chick mash at a raffle at a local provender store . I put tickets in a whole bunch of bag for all kind of sawhorse supplies , and just one ticket in the bag for the starter mash . Despite the odds , I won the mash . possibly this means the creation supports my decision to grow my flock ? I guess I ’ll chance out soon enough .
