Painted mountain corn was an heirloom variety we grow last summertime .
When settle what kind of corn whiskey to plant this class , I contemplated whether I would grow it again . On one script , it ’s stunning . Truly beautiful to seem at and glean . Apparently , you may eat this Zea mays from the cob , but it was far chewier than other corn change we ’ve grow . I do believe it ’s a better variety for metric grain and baking .
I desire to offer a limited review of this corn and whether or not I ’d grow it again .

Painted spate clavus is an heirloom corn from Montana . It ’s rugged beauty is great for the cold quite a little . When it came to harvest time however , the yield was n’t awful .

We did grow it in block , but it could have been the extreme drouth and wildfires have them to yield badly towards the end . We also arise them in the permaculture 3 sisters guild withkuri squashand beans .
If I did n’t have growing place care , I would judge this variety again . Part of me is funny about growing corn and grind it , although it ’s a circumstances of work . Someday I would like to trygrowing paint mountain corn in containers .
One day I also want to try glass gemstone corn .
I grew painted wad corn because ‘ apparently ’ you could still exhaust it as corn on the cob . That seemed more purposeful than the glass jewel Zea mays which is for mean for pop . One day I I hope to try this beautiful corn ( my fry are begging me to ! ) but because corn whiskey takes up a lot of blank , and we do n’t eat a lot of popcorn I will contain off for now . Glass precious stone also takes over 100 days , which can be a challenge here so we incline to get corn variety ready in 75 - 90 day .
