Beauty in the snow

My name is Kevin Kelly , and I have bow photograph of my 1/3 - Akko suburban garden in thepast . It is now January , and we finally had our first snow . Over the years I have strived to produce a four - season garden . I have added dwarf conifers to the garden beds as well as plant life that have multiple seasons of pursuit . I do not “ clean up ” the garden in the fall , except to take any diseased flora material that might overwinter . I am located in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania , and I garden in Zone 6b . I hope you savor my winter garden .

Here is a picture of my front garden expect to the west . I am standing on the walkway conduce to the front door ( to the left ) . This walk bisects the front yard . I keep conifer out in containers to contribute interest ( making sure they are hardy to at least Zone 5 so they will survive .

Here isViburnumplicatumf.tomentosum‘Summer snow bunting ’ ( Zones 5–8 ) in the morning as the tempest passed . The sunrise was beautiful .

This is a photo count from the driveway toward the backyard . I have made the path narrow and curved to limit the view , which makes it feel more wide .

I love the Baron Snow of Leicester on the dry seeded player ejector seat ofClethraalnifolia(Zones 3–9 ) . This is a grand native shrub with very fragrant flower in the summertime .

Acer griseum(Zones 4–8 ) is a wonderful small tree with undress bark that raise the landscape through every season but look especially good in the wintertime .

There are four blue jays that shop at the garden on a daily basis . We watch them from the window of our breakfast nook . I witness it amazing that when we throw off some earthnut onto the patio , they make it within five second to collect them .
