I ’m home from cheery Florida and missing it already .   More fresh snow get while I was gone , but at least I have some warm memories .

While we were there we had the chance to claver the firebrand new Naples Botanical Garden ( it just open in November ) .   It was very lovely and definitely worth the trip if you ever find yourself in the area .   There is a marvelous youngster ’s garden over with a Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree house , a miniature period of play planetary house and veggie garden , a waterfall , hooey to climb on , H2O to play in and mint of pavement chalk .

The Caribbean garden had the obligatory hammocks , coconuts and even a mini pineapple plantation , and the butterfly house was satisfy with fluttering adult , beautiful chrysalises and plenty of nectar sources .   All very enjoyable .

The crushed shell mulch is a far cry from shredded bark and I truly savor the enormous waterfall that is the cardinal focusing   of the garden .   The works cloth needs to grow into the garden over the come years ( it ’s a bit puny decently now — but all salutary things take time , especially in the garden ) and several more garden ( including an Asian one ) are in the works .   All in all , it was a beautiful spot to spend the good afternoon and we had a great time .

We also call in the Southwest Florida Conservancy and took an electric sauceboat ride through the Rhizophora mangle tunnel .   Our guide said that a female parent manatee and her child were spotted in the Conservancy ’s lagoon to begin with that morning , but she did n’t manage to make an visual aspect for us .   Maybe next clip .
