Drought: not out of the woods with our trees

Thanks to coolheaded weather and restorative rainfall , weary industrial plant rebounded to attend my garden ’s fall promenade .

My aboriginal evergreen sumac ( Rhus virens ) is in high gear , pumping out flowers and fruit for wildlife , joined by Mexican redbud to the right .

Still , we ca n’t breathe on our recent pelting laurels .
