Today ’s picture are from Diana Bervoets in the Niagara region of Ontario . She says,“I am a ego taught gardener . With the help of my husband we have construct these gardens .
“ Every garden was built on top of the sod – newspaper was laid over the sod and 14 inches of garden filth was laid on top of that . Then we water and let the soil rest before imbed . After found we topped the stain with 5 inch of mulch . It was definitely a labour of sexual love .
“ Our garden is 98 % perennial . We presently have more than 100 genus Hosta throughout , some in pots but most in the garden beds . Tree peonies are one of my pet blossom perennials along with the standard peonies . Flowering dogwood flank the back of our gazebo , along with Koreanspice viburnum .

“ Besides the beautiful show of flowers that these trees raise , they also pop the question secrecy in our backyard . Beautiful trumpet vines , when in prime , offer up a great property for the hummingbird to give ear out . Several clematis bloom on trellises and obelisks in the yard as well as wisteria vines . Hanging out in the garden is one of our favourite things to do . felicitous horticulture this yr . ”
Diana , I LOVE your tasteful but big - impact ornament ! The tuteur , the dress form , and even that vintage bicycle I see cover in the back . And I see fortune of houses around you , but the garden feels so secret . wondrous !
