A whimsical garden full of fantastic plant life and charming decor brings joy for all ages
Happy Monday GPODers !
There is nothing I screw to see in the GPOD inbox more than a first - time submission from someone instigate by a recent office . It ’s a two - fold kind of delicacy , get word that a particular topic or garden really struck a chord and being capable to showcase another phallus of the GPOD residential area . Last calendar week , I had the pleasure of receiving the postdate content from Elise Scanlan of Swampscott , Massachusetts , and now we all have the pleasure of enjoying photos from a magical upshot she attended in Salem .
love life meter reading / seeing the GPOD post every day ! After interpret last calendar week ’s “ Whimsy in the Garden ” I was prompted to send in my own little contribution .

I late had the chance to attend an good afternoon “ afternoon tea with the Fairies ” at the seaside home of Belle and Mark Steadman . Located in historic Salem , MA , Belle has create a beautiful Beacon Hill style garden lined with repurposed bricks and stones from the arena . The space , which she namedBellehaven ’s Fairyland , is filled with lush plantings and hidden surprises around every corner .
During the pandemic , Belle and Mark open their gate to families appear for a spot where their kid could have fun and “ let their imaginations soar ” . Since then they ’ve call for Thomas Kid and adult alike the prospect to do the same in their witching garden by the ocean .
On my visit , each guest was given a stage set of fairy extension and witching wand on enrol Bellehaven ’s Fairyland . Before us was a beautifully coiffe table spread with yummy treats and family heirloom china . What a delicious welcome ! disport our newly acquired wings and sceptre , we all began to explore the gardens while enjoying the luscious treats and each other ’s troupe for the good afternoon .

So make yourself a cup of tea and permit your imaginations soar as you savour these glimpses into Belle ’s limited seaport !
Garden art is always mythological , but it ’s even better when it ’s multi - intent . This lovely little sign helps signal party - leaver in the right direction , but also serves as a planter potful that brings a pop of color to a shady corner .
Some fairies bask their afternoon tea in an enchanting side garden . Elise mentioned that even the colour of the household was magical , which I have to dead agree . The cranberry red color is a beautiful compliment to all of the garden pink on display for the tea party .

It ’s not a garden afternoon tea party without mint of pinkish heighten interior decoration !
Two gardeners would in all likelihood arrange a radical of plants completely differently , and the same applies to the artistic production opus and decor we add to a garden . While some nurseryman would utilize this fountain as a bird bathroom , others would fill it to the brim with one-year flower , while Belle and Mark metamorphose it into a mini fairy garden sodding with a tiny table and set of chairs .
A gravid entry ( no punning intended ) to incorporating some more garden fine art into a space is through an interesting garden logic gate . While it is a small more elusive and reduce than the flowery and colorful decor found in this garden , the beautiful lattice and curving top still bring plenty of involvement into the space .

Camellia sinensis time ! I love all the little details sprinkle throughout Belle and Mark ’s garden . From the statues and signs to the various sized deal that hold all dissimilar kinds of plants . Even when a company is happening in the outer space , it feel like you’re able to draw back from the activity and get lose in the details of a small section .
finally , a slight fairy tearing hole with various leaf plant giving the fay tribe mass of places to hide in this delightful scene . Because anyone can add a water feature to their garden , but plow a small jet into a miniature cosmos in your backyard lend a whole other level of joy .
